We offer a destruction service for computer hard drives in which we physically destroy the drive  As with our paper shredding service you are welcome to witness the destruction process at our Berkeley location. For customers outside our service area we accept drives delivered by certified mail, will perform the destruction operation and provide a certificate of destruction.

Physical Destruction Of Hard Drives:   Our normal Hard Drive destruction procedure involves punching the spindle out of the middle of the drive and then punching the disc.

In line with the rest of the services we offer we will recycle the broken components of a destroyed harddrive.
So not only are they destroyed they are then smelted in order for the metal to be recycled.
